The Council adopted Planning Policy CL7 on Basements in January 2015. The Council is now working to produce a new Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) on Basements to provide further guidance on the adopted Policy CL7.

The Council has undertaken two previous consultations on the emerging Basements SPD as follows –

• Draft Basements SPD – 6 week consultation between 18 February and 1 April 2015

• Revised Draft Basements SPD – 8 week consultation between 30 June and 11 August 2015.

The Council has reviewed all the comments received on the latest consultation and made substantive changes to the guidance on noise, vibration and dust in Section 6 (pages 36-38) and added a new Appendix 5 relating to these issues. These aspects of the Revised Draft SPD are being consulted upon again.

This consultation is for four weeks, starting on 12 November 2015 and ending at 11.59pm on 10 December 2015. The consultation documents can be found below.
