Local Validation List consultation

The Council is updating their Local Validation List which sets out the validation requirements for planning applications. There are three parts:

Section One – Compulsory requirements

These documents must be submitted in order for the application to be validated.

Section Two – Information likely to be needed

Depending on the proposal, the documents in this section should be submitted in order to allow the Council to fully assess the proposals.

Section Three – Advice notes

This section includes detailed advice for the various documents setting out what is required and when.

The list seeks to make it easier for applicants to know what documents and information are required for their planning application.

Once adopted, it will replace the previous Local Validation List from 2015.


This consultation will run for six weeks from 16th February to 30th March 2022
