Earl's Court culture study

CourtEarls

The new development planned for the Earl’s Court site will include a major cultural offer.

Could your organisation be at the heart of that offer?

Kensington and Chelsea Council is seeking expressions of interest from cultural and creative organisations interested in being the major cultural presence within the Earl’s Court site in order to help us refine the overall placemaking vision for this new development.

We are looking for compelling proposals to demonstrate what a thriving cultural and creative offer could look like. We are interested in proposals which show how potential anchor tenants would not only benefit the area and local community but also make the site a distinctive and vibrant new place.

We are at an early stage of the process and applicants will not be entering into a formal commitment by making an expression of interest. Proposals will be kept confidential if applicants are not ready to state their interest publicly. We want to explore a range of different proposals so that we can understand both the cultural opportunities and spatial requirements of different approaches.

Working with external consultants, the Council will have detailed discussions with three shortlisted organisations to draw out key findings to feed into the placemaking vision for the site and assist the site’s developer to find the best match for the cultural offer on site. The site developer will make final decisions about the ‘anchor tenant’.
